Goals reached
through force
bring but
short success.
Violence
may be swallowed.
But not digested.
Even if
you break human
pride and dignity,
And you
force people
to do things
against their will,
Let it be said:
There is no guarantee
of final victory.
It may be
that the oppressed
be destroyed
before their time.
The hurt
lives on and multiplies.
Force,
spat out
undigested and raw,
strikes back.
And strikes you down.
